Who I am

My name is Michael O’Shaughnessy, and I am the founder of MrOResolutions. With 28 years of experience in K-12 education, I created this platform to share my knowledge and skills with fellow educators and administrators. My website address is: https://MrOResolutions.rocks.

My primary goal is to provide educational technology resources, including online courses and ready-to-use templates, to empower teachers and make their daily workloads easier to manage.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on my site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit my login page, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who I share your data with

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

To run this site effectively, I share limited data with trusted service providers:

• Google Analytics: I use Google Analytics to help me understand how visitors interact with the site so I can improve my resources for educators. This involves the collection of anonymized data like your browser type and which pages you visit.
• Payment Processors: If you purchase a template or course, your payment information is processed securely through [Stripe/PayPal]. I do not see or store your full credit card details.
• Account Security: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators (that’s me!) can also see and edit that information.

Course & Purchase Records: For tax and accounting purposes, I retain information about your purchases (such as your name and email) for at least seven years. Your course progress and account access will remain active as long as your account is in good standing so you can return to your learning materials at any time.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have purchased a template, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me.

You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes (such as sales records for my tax filings).

How to exercise these rights: If you would like to make a data request, please contact me directly at support@MrOResolutions.rocks. I aim to respond to all such requests within 30 days.

Google Apps Script & Data Access

Many of the templates and custom solutions provided on this site utilize Google Apps Script. When you use these tools, the script may require permission to access your Google Drive or Spreadsheet data.

• Data Processing: The scripts are designed to process data within your own Google account environment. I do not have access to your private files or school data unless you explicitly share a file with me for support or consulting purposes.
• No Data Harvesting: My scripts do not “harvest” or transmit your data to any external servers or third parties.
